German-born conductor and composer (1885–1973). Though best known as one of the twentieth century’s greatest interpreters of the core German repertoire, he also premiered important works by the likes of Janácek, Stravinsky, and Schönberg. DS, two pages both sides, 8.5 x 11, no date. Acknowledgement of receipt of a notice of use of copyrighted music on mechanical instruments agreement for Klemperer’s work ‘Merry Waltz.’ Signed on the reverse of the second page by Klemperer. Partially separated hinge, punch holes to top edge, paperclip impression to top edge, scattered creases, and a notation to inside page dated 1963, otherwise fine condition.
