German-born conductor and composer (1885–1973). Though best known as one of the twentieth century’s greatest interpreters of the core German repertoire, he also premiered important works by the likes of Janácek, Stravinsky, and Schönberg. Heavy cardstock 7.75 x 9.75 photo of Klemperer conducting, signed in the lower border in black felt tip, “Otto Klemperer 1972.” Some scattered light surface marks to facial area, visible only at an angle, a few light creases, and some irregular ink adhesion to signature, otherwise fine condition.
