ALS in German, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 6 x 8.5, December 19, 1948. Letter to doctor and art collector Justin Oberzimmer acknowledging the receipt of a package and commenting on his work. In part (translated): “It was a nice Christmas joy [for us.] It is now quite cold here but I have coke receive that I can heat the studio…At the moment I do a lot of lithographs and Others also colored prints. These leaves are now buying it in Germany rather than images. In February there is a larger exhibition of my paintings which will then be held in Hamburg go to Hagen and Düsseldorf further.” In fine condition, with scattered light creasing along bottom edges.
