Singer, known as the “King of Soul,” who died tragically in a plane crash at the age of 26; a month thereafter “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” was posthumously released and became his only number one single. DS, signed “Otis Redding, Jr,” one page, 8.5 x 14, November 18, 1965. Royalties agreement between Redding and Steve Cropper and East Publications Inc. In which Redding sells the rights to his song, ‘Little O’L Me,’ with Redding receiving five cents per copy of piano copies fifty percent of the orchestration copies, mechanical reproductions, and performing fees. Agreement further states that Redding receives 50% of the money, with the other 50% going to writer Steve Cropper. In fine condition, with a light vertical fold directly under Redding’s signature, and missing top left corner tip. Cropper would later co-write with Redding his best-known song, ‘Sittin’ On the Dock of the Bay.’
