In part: “As you may have heard, Boston University has consented to the establishment of a George Gershwin Theatre Workshop…I…was happy to accept the chairmanship of a committee whose purpose it will be to raise the $50,000 necessary to implement this plan…I invite you to join the honorary committee which will sponsor this memorial. Others who are now on the Committee include: Fred E. Ahlert, Fred Astaire, Aaron Copland, Max Gordon, Moss Hart, Fannie Hurst, George Jessel, Jeanette MacDonald, Alexander Smallens, Sigmund Romberg, Rise Stevens, Sophie Tucker, Fred Waring, and Paul Whiteman.” In fine condition, with a uniform shade of mild toning, and a few light creases.
