Folio. A famous work of Ortelius; a description of the history of the Hungarian-Turkish wars, published by Martin Meyer with additions. This is the last and the longest version. This monumental work is illustrated by more than 100 copperplates, from which 151 are panoramic views of Hungarian towns and castles, the rest are portraits of Hungarian and Turkish leaders. It also contains an unfoldable Hungary map, - our copy has the rarest version. Along the copperplate title, the portrait of the author is also included. The panoramic views are bound in the copy as unfolding, their margin is slightly thinner than usual. In 18th century slightly worn half leather binding, gilt spine, painted page edges. Minor damages on spine, on back of the map an old mounting.
