<B>Orphans of the Storm (United Artists, 1921).</B></I> Lobby Card (11" X 14"). In what many consider to be his greatest motion picture accomplishment, D.W. Griffith skillfully combines melodrama and historical political intrigue to create one of the most spectacular and poignant films of the silent era of American cinema. Real-life sisters Lillian and Dorothy Gish play the two orphans of the title, bringing pathos and a sense of realism to a moving (albeit far-fetched) story of two innocents who get caught up in the turbulent events of the French Revolution. This gorgeous portrait card of the two sisters, the best card in the set, is in superb condition. The card has a pinhole in all four corners and one in the center of the top border.
