The Victorians had a fancy serving piece for almost every type of food. This lovely 5.25" long sterling silver slotted ladle is called a sugar sifter and was used to sift powered sugar over berries or pastries. The fancy shaped bowl is gold washed. The handle is an unknown pattern by, I believe, Gilbert. This piece is in excellent condition and will cost $4 to ship to US addresses.
