Ornate Spanish Percussion Conversion Pistol
This Spanish made pistol was period converted from flintlock to percussion ignition. The pistol has the bolster type percussion conversion with the frizzen spring and flash pan removed (holes filled). The lock, trigger guard, buttcap and ramrod pipes have a well executed deep relief ornate engraving. The lock is marked "C.M. LOGIA" directly behind the hammer. Numerous gold highlighted proofs are stamped on the barrel at the breech and on the upper tang. The nicely figured walnut stock has a deep relief carving executed around the iron components. Complete with a wooden ramrod with ebony tip.

Very good. The barrel retains traces of blue finish in the protected areas with the balance a smooth gray patina with some pin prick pitting. The remaining iron surfaces have a smooth brown-gray patina. There are a few hairline cracks (likely repairs), otherwise the stock is fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
