Ornamental Mantelpiece Clock, porcelain, Baroque body and plinth w/ open-work floral décor heightened w/ gilt, surmounted by Zeus holding thunderbolts, left hand resting on scrolls, Cupid kneeling holding an arrow and carrying his quiver, Kronos his arm around a flower child, left hand hiding an hour-glass behind his back, body w/ clock, shells heightened w/ gilt and pink, rocailles, and volute feet, elaborate polychrome moulded blossoming boughs, 2 sitting children w/ floral garlands; matching plinth, centre w/ polychrome painted scatter of flowers and bouquet on facing side, height: 73 cm incl. plinth, clock casing and plinth w/ small firing cracks, 1 foot w/ small flaw, blossoms, foliage, Zeus' arm, thunderbolt, arrow, w/ restoration; Meissen, underglaze-blue crossed swords, w/ line, 1st Half 19th Cent., model no. 88, both sections w/ former no. 76, blue painter no. 4, model by J.
