Original to the 19th century French style casing for a 6-1/2" barrel 1862 Police, showing silk label in lid, addressing Schuler Hartley & Co., 19 Maiden La New…., (end of label is torn and missing). The interior ofthe case shows fading, is very dirty but good. There are 2 compartments missing their covers; the exterior of the case is plain oak with 2 cracks, but otherwise good. This case, although unusual, is antique and issimilar to the casing of the McPherson Police Models. This case was found in the collection of noted old time dealer and collector, Vinnie Caponi, who was saving it for just the right pair of Colts. Needscleaning and small restorations. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
