(CBS-TV, 1961-66) Actual "Mr. Ed" used horseshoe painted gold with "Good Luck" written in black ink. Al Simon, the executive producer of “Mr. Ed”, gave this particular horseshoe to former Desilu vice president Herbert Solow during a meeting at McCadden Studios, where the series was filmed.
