Original professionally two-sided framed metal shot-out target showing an Indian Chief in feathered war bonnet, approx. 30” x 22” and in overall very good condition. This target was shot by world famous African and Alaskan big game hunter and exhibition shooter Gus Peret who worked for the Remington Arms Company performing extensively for the public. He additionally was known for his hunting acumen and spent considerable time collecting guns and knives that ultimately ended up in his nephew’s collection, the well-known blade enthusiast and expert, Colonel Rex Applegate. A great piece of bullet art by a famous shootist and something that would go great in any hunter’s or collector’s gun room. Est.: $750-$1,500.
