Original professionally two-sided framed metal shot-out target showing a whimsical rendition of a bald man with a large bow tie, approx. 30” x 19” in overall very good condition. This bullet art was expertly shot by world famous African and Alaskan big game hunter and expert marksman Gus Peret who was ranked among the best of the 20th century gun handlers and in the class of Ad Topperwein, Ed McGivern, Elmer Keith, Bill Jordan and Charles Askins. Peret gave many exhibitions and lectures on hunting and shooting and was a gun and knife collector of note during his life. He additionally worked as a featured shootist for the Remington Arms Company. A great piece of bullet artwork by one of the best shots of his time. Est.: $750-$1,500.
