Original pamphlet submitted to the Senate of the United States dated February 12th, 1849 number 295 entitled “Report No.295”. This report in summary recommends the Colt pistol for all mounted troops. This exact document is pictured on page 22 and 23 of “The Rampant Colt” magazine in the spring 2013 issue. It is interesting to note that 38 military officers expressed favorable opinions of the Colt Dragoon in this report and notable endorsements by Gen. Zachary Taylor, Col. Jefferson Davis,Capt. S. H. Walker, Gen. S.W. Kearny, Major F.T. Lally and many others. The pamphlet is complete with just normal aging. Est.: $500-$1000
