Original oil painting on canvas entitled "Bison Central Plains", signed lower right "L. Shipshe", circa 1950s-60s. Shipshe was a well known western artist, born 1896, died 1975. He was a native American who paintedportraits and scenes of the west. The painting measures approximately 33" x 48", artwork only. Nicely framed in rustic wood frame, frame shows some storage marks, canvas near fine, needing just slight cleaning,with a few very minor marks and specs. A similar painting with identical title, 24" x 36", which was significantly smaller in size, fetched $2,875 at Auction in Santa Fe on 8/14/2011. Est.: $750-$1,500

We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
