Original oil painting on board entitled Pointer and Gamble’s, by Robert K. Abbett, noted wildlife artist, signed front and on reverse, with inscription “Painted especially for Don Tostenrud by Robert K. Abbett, allrights reserved” and signed again. The image is in fine condition, nicely framed, beautifully detailed and accomplished. This artist is internationally recognized for hunting subjects. There have been severalbooks written on his work, and his artwork was selected for several national stamps. Abbett is exhibited at national museums and shows and has won many gold medals. Born in 1926, some of his work is on view at theNational Cowboy Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, the National Bird Dog museum in Grand Junction, Tennessee, the Genesee Country Wildlife Museum in Mumford New York.
