Original oil painting on board entitled Cape Buffalo, by Wilhelm Kuhnert, circa approx 1912, approx. 13”h by 28”w, nicely framed, stickers on back from Petersen Gallery, Beverly Hills, and International ArtExhibition, Big Game Conference, May 7-11, 1973, where this painting was exhibited, and other exhibition stickers. Painting is in fine condition in an older frame. Matte slightly discolored, painting could useslight cleaning only and is in excellent condition. Wilhelm Kuhnert is considered one of the best painters of Africa and was highly regarded during his lifetime, particularly in Germany.
