Original oil on canvas signed lower right Lynn Bogue Hunt entitled “Mallards Rising”. The painting measures 31-1/8”x21-1/8”. Lynn Bogue Hunt is considered in the top rung of American Wildlife painters who was verysuccessful in his time illustrating hundreds of magazines and advertisements for ammunition and gun companies along with covers for The Saturday Evening Post and other periodicals. He also designed manyfamous duck stamps in the 1930’s. He was born in 1878 and died in 1960. Several prominent dealer labels attached to rear. Last sold Nedra Matteucci Galleries, Santa Fe, New Mexico to Robert E. Petersen. The painting is in fine condition with no problems.
