Original model 1902 Luger carbine, 7.65 Luger caliber, 11-3/4” barrel, 300m rear sight, blued finish, with matching original matching-number shoulder stock, serial #23523. The carbine remains in very good plus to near fine original condition showing 85-95% original blue, slightly drifting on the edges of the muzzle and forward areas of the barrel. Some minor erosion and pinprick pitting just starting where the finish hasdrifted, but generally very sharp and crisp with sharp markings and good edges. The grips and forend show a matching patina with some bruises to the checkering, minor dings, mars, etc. The Luger shows traces of straw finishon small parts, retains just normal handling and limited use. Bright nitre blue and correct polish areas, bright original bore. The shoulder stock matches the condition of the grips and forend well with matching color and patina, some minor scratches, mars, most of the original blue on metal collar, with a couple of small chips to the horn buttplate.
