Original circa 1500’s ornate polearm with original material covered shaft , fancy brass tacks of varying sizes and fringed red cord with smaller gold wire trim, approx. 14” in length with a spear point end and delicately pierced and engraved head approx. 6” wide with a half moon-shaped front head and a curved blade tail. The head is in overall very good condition and shows outstanding craftsmanship with an even grey patina; the shaft is 75” long and also in overall good condition. An exceptionally original and honest polearm that would go well in any private or public collection. Est.: $800-$1,600.
