Original charcoal and pencil sketch on paper entitled "The Squaw Man", signed lower left "Lavallie-05", in its original to-the-period wood frame showing forged iron link decoration attached to the frame. The novel"Squaw Man" was published at about this era and was a very popular book concerning the western frontier. The artwork shows a frontiersman armed with double barrel shotgun in western dress and buckskins withcartridge belt, bandana and western hat and spurs. The title is on a fixed brass plaque of same era. The artwork measures 24" by 18-1/2", the frame measures 31" by 25-1/2"; the condition is good with some smallburning, spotting, normal age and discoloration. The frame is good. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
