Original business card of William Warren Sterling, Adjutant General of Texas, with original unissued Texas State Rangers, Austin envelope and 8" x 10" original photo of Sterling showing him wearing his dress ColtSAA and gun belt, kakis and Ranger white cowboy hat. Sterling was born in 1891 and was the only Ranger to serve in every rank in the Texas Rangers from private to Adjutant General of Texas and worked with the likes of legendary Texas lawmen Frank Hamer, J.B. Gillette and J. Eagle Vaughan. He retired in 1933 and returned to ranching. He died in 1960 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Est.: $150-$250.
