<B>Original Winnebago Chief Lithograph,</B></I> HOO-WAN-NE-KA, 14" x 20", Philadelphia, J.T. Bowen, 1841. A stunning hand-colored lithograph showing a midwestern chief in full regalia. His face and body paint are nicely complimented by a silver peace medal and large gorget. Light overall toning, minor marginal loss and inconsequential stains. This image is taken from McKenney & Hall's <I>Tribes of North America.</B></I> The subject, also known as "Little Elk", visited President Monroe in 1824.
