Extremely rare telegram stamped ''The White House / Washington / 1963 NOV 24 AM 9 02'' regarding the death of President Kennedy. Addressed to Assistant Press Secretary Malcolm Kilduff, General Murray Bywater writes, ''Dear Mac We will never understand why our great President who worked so dedicatedly [sic] for peace in the world should be taken away so abruptly...'' Telegram is on two 8.5'' x 5.5'' light blue pages with all but ''Murray A Bywater Brigadier General USAF'' on the first page. Stapled together and previously folded, else fine.
