A boldly printed large broadside, measuring 16" x 8.25". This Pennsylvania militia broadside was issued by William Reed, Adjutant General, and printed by John M. Snowden, who was a printer, bookseller, and editor of <I>The Pittsburgh Mercury.</B></I> Pursuant to the general orders of the commander in chief: <I>"of the Pennsylvania militia, the Adjutant General, has organized the detachment, ordered to rendezvous at Pittsburgh, on the 2d of October instant, into companies, battalions, and regiments, in the following manner."</B></I> Details follow concerning the organization of the troops.
