This is a bronze sculpture of the wild child Mowgli, enjoying the bounty of the jungle upon his trusted friend, Bagheera. Mowgli is a fictional character from India who originally appeared in Rudyard Kipling's short story "In the Rukh" and then went on to become the most prominent and memorable character in his fantasies The Jungle Book and The Second Jungle Book (18941895). In the book The Jungle Book, Bagheera was a panther who was portrayed as a clever, serious and a responsible character. In the film, it is Bagheera and not the wolves who first finds Mowgli, a young village child and he is the one who takes him back to the village. Bagheera spoiled Mowgli more and protected him from the dangers of the jungle. The 100% handmade bronze sculpture, was cast using the early method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for preservation. The black marble base has the European Bronze Finery stamp ensuring quality and the artist Aldo Vitaleh's signature. Condition: This sculpture is in perfect condition.
