Included in this lot we have an original signed charcoal painting depicting geese in flight originating from 1957. The painting displays the image of Canada geese as they fly over a mountainous landscape. The piece shows four flocks of geese flying in the same direction with a partially cloud covered moon. The art utilizes charcoal and shows wonderful detail and artistic style. The piece is signed in the bottom right hand corner with a illegible signature. The art is framed in a simple black frame with a black border around the art. The back of the piece shows a gallery tag. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman which was both part museum and gallery. The piece shows very good condition overall with some very minor wear on the frame. The frame measures 21 3/4" wide by 16" tall with the art measuring 16 3/4" wide by 11" tall.
