Original Script for the Batman Television Show Pilot Episode (Greenway Productions, 1966). POW! SPLAT! WHACK! THWAPP!! Bet you haven't see one of these before. This amazing piece of Bat-Memorabilia is the script for the first two episodes of the camp classic Batman show from 1966. This is the first script for the show that started a national craze that swept the nation. There was nothing this show didn't have: outlandish characters, more action than you could shake a bat-a-rang at, and in an era of black-and-white television, it was in over-the-top, full-blown color. This bound script contains the first two shows that sparked the batman craze: "Hi Diddle Riddle" (part 1), and "Smack in the Middle" (part 2). This item gives a lot of insight into the beginning of the show and contains many revisions done from 9-3-65 to 10-8-65. This first storyline was expertly wrought by Lorenzo Semple, Jr. to be directed by Robert Butler. This script is 64 pages long, with a thicker purple cover. The whole thing has been professionally bound in a brown leatherette cover with the spine imprinted "1965-66 BATMAN TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX" I can assure you that there are not many surviving copies of this rare item and, in all likelihood, most are probably still in the hands of those involved with the production of the show. Grab this while you can, the Caped Crusader would be proud! Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour.
