Walt Disney's DuckTales was the first daily animated cartoon show to air weekdays on the Disney Afternoon. DuckTales debuted in 1988. The 1988 - 1989 season consisted of 65 episodes. The next season (1989 - 1990) included an additional 35 episodes, totaling 100. DuckTales is an extremely unique and original cartoon. Episodes such as "Sweet Duck of Youth," "Dr Jekyll and Mr. McDuck," "The Golden Fleecing" and many more play off of legends, literature, and actual historic events. Disney's DuckTales also uses clever "duck" names for characters, as well as creatively used puns to add life to this excellent show. Huey is the leader of the group. He is the toughest and the one who comes up with their rascally plans and activities; Huey's trademark color is red.Original "rough" animation drawing, with the notations in black and red. Drawings are a key part of the process, in which the animator creates the design and movement of the characters. Drawings are then transferred onto acetate cels (by hand-inking and/or photo copying) to create a production cel, which is then hand-painted on the back side, using paint colors chosen and approved by the creators of the series.The drawing is ready to be matted and framed. The animator's notations are shown at the top and bottom of the drawing.
