The owners are retired and trying to liquidate all it's contents in-order to sell their street front retail gallery near Glendale California
Lois Elliot Whitney, the founder of the Twigs, was born March 31, 1850. A daughter of a prominent miller, she attended local schools and studied art in Paris. Renowned for her artistic capabilities, she was founder of the Art Exchange, an organization dedicated to furthering art education in the city. Upon the death of her mother she was appointed to the Board of Lady Managers in 1885. Her dedication to the hospital manifested itself initially through her work staging entertainments for the Annual Donation, and later through the Twigs.
Miss Whitney's life was cut short when she died March 8, 1889, from peritonitis. (Hospital Review, March 1889)

Bidding on any item indicates your acceptance of these terms listed below and all other terms announced at the time of sale. For your satisfaction: We offer an Appraisal by GLA or CRG laboratory in Los Angeles California on Silver, Gold , Platinum items as well as Loose Gemstones and Fine Watches (A Complete & Detailed Evaluation for a reduced rate of 50% off) ***We do not allow Picking-up of Merchandise due to the security nature of our business and our Fine Art & Jewelers Block Insurance which does not allow an open to the public business structure. In exceptional cases we may approve a pick-up of merchandise after reviewing the shipping companies credentials and review of the official Estimate/Quote on Shippers Letterhead. We have No RETURN/EXCHANGE/CREDIT policies available (under certain very restrictive situations you may request permission from management. All sales are final. There are no cancellations, returns or refunds. Under certain circumstances, we may make an exception and allow a cancellation, re-listing, return, merchandise exchange or approve a bidding credit at our discretion. Bidders may not return items without our official permission and will be provided a special address to ship items back. In most cases we will provide the shipping label. All sales are final. Occasionally you may notice that a previously won item is re-listed. This can be due to a variety of reasons such as a winning bidder in a previous auction did not pay for the item, a fraudulent payment transaction occurred or we may carry multiple types of the same item or the reserve was not met, or there was an technical error. These types of evaluations are written for insurance needs.
