1930's Original Mexican Marketplace Painting by Laurence Eric Guetthoff, visual measures 16.5'' x 11.75'', Original paint-on-board painting. Guetthoff obit: Laurence Eric GUETTHOFF, 91, of Tucson, passed away Sunday, February 19, 1989. He was born in Three Rivers, Michigan on March 16, 1897 to the late Felix and Minnie GUETTHOFF. He had been a resident of Tucson for the past 38 years. He studied art in Chicago and Paris, and for 25 years was a commercial artist in Chicago before moving to Tucson in 1950. Working as free lance artist, he painted murals on business and in homes in Tucson and Green Valley. He also painted Paris street scenes on wallpaper. For years his work was shown in local art shows. His works have been sold at auction (juried artist).
