Included here is one original seat from a Malitte seating unit made by Knoll International. Designed by the Chilean-born surrealist painter and architect, Roberto Sebastian Matta (1911-2002), the five-piece Malitte chair was designed as a wall sculpture that could be easily disassembled into four chairs, and was made by Knoll from 1968 to 1976. This seat is not a reproduction and has its original blue knit upholstery which shows considerable fading and light stains, but there no rips or tears. It measures 24" wide, 37" deep and 34" high. This item resides in Hoboken NJ 07030 and may be seen by appointment.
