Original Macerated Currency Point of Purchase Display. This folding wooden countertop display was produced near the end of the macerated currency period in 1927, by Henri M. Stewart, Inc., of New York City. It's contained in its original shipping box, with its label showing that it was sent to the People's Savings Bank in La Porte, Indiana. Inside the box is a photograph of the set, showing how it was to be displayed. Two macerated items are permanently mounted to the display, which measures over three feet long when opened, a Washington and a Lincoln profile. Also included are thirteen other macerated items: an additional Lincoln and Washington, a Liberty Bell, four Washington Monuments, three "bales of money," and three "rolls of money," each bearing the Henry M. Stewart on the paper label. The set is totally complete, and is exactly as it was mailed to the bank over 75 years ago. An incredible display item and the ultimate treasure for the collector of macerated currency. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
