For your consideration is this original framed watercolor by Oklahoma artist, John Tracy II. John started painting professionally in 1971, according to the artist's statement on the back of the painting. Many of his scenes, like this one, portray Southwestern Native American scenes. This beautiful watercolor depicts a Teepee encampment on the plains, perhaps next to a river. The encampment has three teepees with people outside and one person approaching on horseback. The painting is long and skinny, such as a "landscape" view. The artist's wife Mickey mats and frames each of his pieces and includes little embellishments, such as the 5 arrowheads in this piece. The matting and framing of this beautiful work are top notch. The piece is signed by the artist, but not dated. The piece shows very good condition (see photos). The art measures 3.5" x 29.5"; overall dimensions are 15.5" x 39.5"
