Original Iron Frame Henry Rifle, .44 rim., serial #48 with expertly replaced buttstock and buttplate. This Iron Frame was sold by Legendary Texas Arms Dealer Leon “Red” Jackson to noted Texas Collector Alan Sparger in the 1960’s, now consigned by his descendents. The rifle remains in very good condition showing approx. 5-10% blue within light grey patina on barrel and frame has gone to dark grey brown natural metal color. The edges are crisp, the early address is sharp, the action is good, the sight shows 1000 yard graduation and some bright blue. The stock and buttplate are high quality restorations that were expertly made to original specs. A few screws are also replaced. If the buttstock and buttplate were original I would estimate this Iron Frame at $100,000-$175,000 as it is a far above average specimen metal wise and a very low number. Est. $40,000-80,000.
