Original drawing by illustrator Robert Lawson, who illustrated author Munro Leaf's 1936 children's classic, ''The Story of Ferdinand'', the famous bull who would rather smell flowers than fight in the bull ring. Illustration in black ink depicts a mini Ferdinand posing on a hill and enshrouded in large flowers. Caption reads, ''In such illustrious company I feel very diffident and shy / Ferdinand per Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson''. With a smiley face near Leaf's signature. Measures 7'' x 8.25'' with some toning and a perforated right edge, as it was removed from a book. Else very good.
