Original Henry Deringer percussion pistol in very good condition showing considerable original finish and completely untouched. The Derringer measures 6 ¼” over all with 2” barrel. Approximately .46 caliber with 7groove rifling. The Derringer is fully stocked to the muzzle with no ramrod. The lock and breech show proper markings and large initial P proof. The breech is double silver banded. The mounts are engraved German silver in typical Deringer style with pineapple finial on trigger guard, bell shaped plaque at top of wrist and Henry’s normal side plate and the escutcheon’s. The barrel shows very strong traces of originalbrown with faint lightning stripes. The lock and hammer show original satin gray case hardened colors. The stock is very good plus with fairly crisp checkering, just minor edge wear and a few marks. The action is crispand markings are sharp. A far above average Henry Deringer that is not a copy made by another Philadelphia maker. Est.: $1,000-$2,000.
