Original Henry Deringer, “peanut” size, percussion pistol. Agent stamped N Curry & Br San Franco Cal Agents. .38 caliber 7-groove rifled barrel which measures approx. 1-1/8”, only 4-1/4” overall. Good condition. Barrel shows brown patina with traces of original brown finish and feint stripes. The lock and breech and tang show strong traces of grey case hardening. The stock shows some crazing and loss of varnish, a few age checks and small cracks, a developing large crack at the wrist, minor carry and use, and generally good overall. The lock and breech are stamped Deringer, Philadela. The breech shows a “P” proof, and the mounts are typical German silver engraved with pineapple finial trigger guard. The trigger guard shows a “z” engraved at the bottom, which is an assembly mark. The action is good, generally good overall. One of the smallest peanuts we have seen and can be completely concealed in a large hand. Est: $2,500 - $5,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
