<B>Murder of President Abraham Lincoln: Original Issue of </B></I><B><I>Harper's Weekly</B></I></B></I> (New York: Harper Brothers, 1865), 16 pages, elephant folio (11.5" x 16"), with the typical yellowing and very minor chipping to pages due to the high acid content of the paper. This is an April 29, 1865 issue. The cover is an engraving of John Wilkes Booth with a lurid account of the killing of the president. There is a full page of engravings of Booth shooting Lincoln and Booth running across the stage at Ford’s Theater. There is a full-page engraving of “Fort Sumter” by Thomas Nast. There is also a double-truck engraving of Liberty in mourning at the side of Lincoln’s coffin.
