Original Gorilla Costume From Planet of the Apes
<B>Original Gorilla Costume From "Planet of the Apes"</B></I> Martin Haack received an Oscar nomination for his work as Costume Designer in this science fiction classic from 1968. Based on a book by Pierre Boule and scripted, in part, by Rod Serling, it is the story of a group of Earth astronauts who crash land on a remote planet. They soon learn that there is an ape-based society there with a strict hierarchy in which humans are non-speaking primates living in pens. One of the social groups on this planet are the Gorillas- soldiers who are strong and aggressive, roaming the planet on their horses looking for cultures to conquer. If this sounds like you, then you definitely need to bid on this lot consisting of a full costume for one of these Gorillas- a long sleeve purple shirt, leather vest, purple pants, leather-trimmed gloves and a brown sash. Tags are from the Western Costume Company of Hollywood, size 44. The condition appears to be excellent.
