This is an original G.C. Wentworth bronze sculpture titled "Parting Company". Gerry Wentworth was a Great Falls, Montana artist who grew up in the era just after Charles Russell's life. He was largely self taught and spent the majority of his life working in painting, sculpture and wood carving. Wentworth's works have been widely exhibited in such places as the C.M. Russell Show, the Phippen Art Show and the Frank Tenney Johnson Show. In 1981, he won Best of Show at the Northwest Americana Art Show. This bronze shows a cowboy getting bucked off his horse. The piece shows wonderful detail and artistic talent. The bronze sits on a solid walnut hardwood base with a placard that reads "Parting Company / G.C. Wentworth". The sculpture is numbered 3/20. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a printed biography of the artist. The bronze is in very good condition. It measures 11" x 14" and is 14" tall. The original gallery retail price for this piece was $3,000.
