Original Oil ''Do You Think We Can Eat It?'', gallery wrapped canvas, measures 14''H x 18''W, features two ''Happy Birds'' debating over whether or not they can have the horned toad for lunch, another great addition in her Happy Birds Series, Judy Savarese Judy was born and raised in the ''Bootheel'' of New Mexico amid the Chihuahuan desert. The desert has been her inspiration in many of her paintings. The desolate alkali flats are home to many desert animals. Gambel's quail are one of her favorites to paint as they are survivors of the arid environment. The artist is self taught, has won numerous awards and has shown and sold in galleries in Silver City, N.M. Signed on lower left. This painting shows her influence from the bright colors of the southwest and the indigenous birds and animals of the desert and the designs of the ancients who were there hundreds of years ago.
