Linda Kitchen, Contemporary Still-Life Landscape Painting ?In the Beginning?

Linda Kitchen?s acrylic on canvas painting is a marvelous example of her incredible skill as a contemporary painter. This very talented artist uses great attention to detail and wonderful choice of color, which brings success to her highly unique still-life landscape titled ?In the Beginning?. Kitchen?s composition, which measures 8? x 24?, is a wonderfully poetic and stoic image of a single flower emerging through the earth. The lovely picture is also continued over the canvas edge so that framing is not necessary. Her sensitivity to detail in this stunningly simplistic artwork is truly a unique one of a kind.

Linda Lee (Truman) Kitchen was born April 13, 1952 in Ypsilanti, MI. She grew up around the Highland area before moving to Brighton, MI. She raised two children and is now blessed with three beautiful grandchildren who love to draw and paint as well. Painting has always been a passion, which draws inspiration from traveling throughout Michigan, enjoying the great lakes and it's wonderful lighthouses. Other travels include several trips to the east coast and the Cape Cod area.

Kitchen is primarily a self taught artist and her studies have included watercolor
and acrylics. She also studied with the renowned, maritime artist Richard Cornwell, which helped her to further develop as a skilled artist.
