<B>Group Lot of Six Original Civil War Issues of </B></I><B><I>Harper's Weekly</B></I></B></I> (New York: Harper Brothers, 1864), about 16 pages each, elephant folio (11.5" x 16"), with the typical yellowing and very minor chipping to pages due to the high acid content of the paper. Of note is a January 2, 1864 issue with full page engravings of various balloons and scenes of the Army of the Potomac; a January 30, 1864 issue with a full page engraving of emancipated slaves in New Orleans; an April 2, 1864 edition with a full page engraving of General Sherman’s rear guard; an April 30, 1864 edition with a double page Thomas Nast engraving of the press in the field; an August 27,1864 edition with a double page Thomas Nast engraving of Central Park in the Summer; and a September 24, 1864 edition with a double page Thomas Nast engraving of The Blessings of Victory.
