Original Art on Artist Board by Blacksheep. This piece depicts a Mother and her Baby and measures 9.5'' x 28''. Born in 1965, Blacksheep's Navajo last name is Geneha. Both her mother and her grandmother were rug weavers, while her father worked in leather. She attended the University Northern Arizona, Blacksheep is a fine art painter working in gouache. She was chosen poster artist for the Gallup Ceremonial in 1994 at which time her painting called Moonlight Harmony was featured. Many of her paintings are about Navajo women and their relationships with their mothers. She is mentioned as a ''traditional contemporary'' artist in Dr. Lester's book The Biographical Directory of Native American Painters.
