This is an original period production art photostat of a model sheet drawing from the 1939 Disney animated feature film The Autograph Hound. Model sheets were passed around to the various departments in the Disney production studios to maintain consistency among the different animators. This particular art is subtitled "Car, Cop and Duck Costume Models," and it features Donald Duck. The cop is a main character in the feature. The car images are fabulous, showing a sleek model of its day taking on a real personality. There are also some notations for the animators, and a comparison size visual with Donald Duck and the cop. Traditional animation is a multi-step process, of which drawings are a key part. The animator creates the design and movement of the characters from drawings, and these drawings are then transferred onto acetate cels to create a production cel.
This film starred Donald Duck as an autograph hunter in Hollywood, and he encounters many celebrities of the day, including Greta Garbo, Clark Gable, Charlie McCarthy, and the Lone Ranger. This is a great piece of production art from an early Disney film.

Buyer's Premium: A buyer's premium will be in effect for all auction sales and shall be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price. Payment Due: ALL PURCHASES MUST BE PAID FOR IN FULL UPON RECEIPT OF EMAIL INVOICE. Invoices will be e-mailed within 24 hours of auction closing. The Seller reserves the right to put items back up for auction if payment is not received within 10 days of receipt of the email invoice. Guarantee Terms: All items in the catalog are sold as described by the Seller of the item. All items will be sold "as is, where-is" without any warranties, express or implied, including without limitation, warranties or conditions as to title, description, fitness for purpose, quantity, quality, merchantability, state, condition, location or otherwise unless stated in the auction listing. Although obtained from sources deemed reliable, the Seller and Auctioneer make no warranty or guarantee to the accuracy of the information contained in any auction listing. 13. Entire Agreement; Waiver. This Agreement, including the Universal’s User Agreement and all exhibits and other documents are incorporated herein by reference, set forth the entire understanding and agreement of the parties and supersede any and all other written or oral agreements or understandings between the parties as to the subject matter of this Agreement. In the event of an inconsistency between this Agreement and any other document, which is part of this Agreement, the terms of this Agreement shall govern. From time to time during the term of this Agreement, Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I or Universal Live Auctions may amend this Agreement (including any incorporated documents) by posting the amended terms on any Universal site, emailing notice of the amendment to the Buyer, or otherwise communicating such amendment to the Buyer. Each amendment will be effective immediately after it is initially posted on any Universal site, emailed to the Buyer, or otherwise communicated to the Buyer. The waiver of a breach of any provision of this Agreement will not operate or be interpreted as a waiver of any other or subsequent breach.
