Her tall figure and long straight black hair intrigued the artist
and he invited her to model for him in Kibbutz Cabri. During her visit to the Kibbutz
Koller was photographed by the artist in a series of elegant nude/landscape photographs
which inspired the artist in his later work. "The two known portraits [the present lot among them] of Chava Koller mainly accentuate her elongated face
which probably reminded Reisman of the faces of Modigliani's models. Her black mane is emphasized in both portraits
but in each of them the hair is tied up differently the more rounded hair covering the forehead in the (present) painting lends the figure introversive qualities. Chava Kolller's portraits are among Ori Reisman's later accomplishments
where the photographs of her reclining figure in the landscape represent a link in the relationship between man and the nature surrounding him
typifying Reisman's artistic perception."
