For your bidding pleasure offered in this lot is a collection of five thunder eggs and three pieces of fossilized wood. A thunder egg is a nodule-like rock, similar to a filled geode, that is formed within rhyolitic volcanic ash layers. The first thunder egg measures 4" x 3 1/2" across its cut and polished side. It has a nice pale grey color. The second thunder egg measures 2 3/4" x 2 ½" and has rich brown, tan, and grey color. The third thunder egg is 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" and has brown, grey, and white colors. The fourth thunder egg is smaller, measuring 2" x 1 7/8", with a grey striped center and one distinct white stripe. The last thunder egg is 1 ¼" x 1" and has a pink outer with a tan and brown center. The first of the fossilized wood pieces is tan, white, and brown and measures 2" x 1 1/2" on its polished side. The second piece measures 2 3/4" x 1 ¼" on its polished side and has a warm tan color. The last piece of fossilized wood measures 2 5/8" x 2 1/4" and has a wonderful walnut color. These pieces are in good condition.
