Italian made DA/SA top-break revolver chambered for 10.35mm Italian Ordnance, and likely made during the WWI time frame. A rare Italian vintage revolver with inspiration from the Smith & Wesson Number 3 revolvers, the earlier Shofields, and some of the S&W Russian designs. Revolver features a blued finish, an approximately 5" ribbed barrel, pinned fixed blade front sight, notched post rear sight, fluted six-round cylinder, smooth curved trigger, smooth grip straps, dual post barrel latch, external hammer with a checkered spur, lanyard ring on the heel, 'skull cracker' butt, and checkered black hard rubber grips with the Orbea Hermanos insignia on both sides. The left of the frame is marked 'F. Tettoni-Brescia,' and 'REVOLVER MOD 1916 CAL 10-35' is marked on the top of the barrel rib. Other markings include the number 'A142' marked on the left side of the frame above the grip panel, and 'L4' on left side of barrel. The right side of the frame also shows a trademark. The original blued finish retained is approximately 60% with general fading, edge wear, and handling blemishes. The finish shows a grey and brown patina. Metal displays no rust, but does show some dings and nicks from handling. Most of the action works well, but the cylinder rotates in both directions when closed, and has some front and back movement. The bore is good with slight frosting and strong rifling. The hard rubber grips are fair with handling wear.
Condition is NRA Fair.
